About the Role
The company is seeking a highly skilled Inventor and Advance Steel Draughtsman to join their team in Johannesburg. As a key member of the design and fabrication process, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality drawings and models that meet the needs of our clients. With relevant experience using Inventor, SolidWorks, and Advance Steel, you will be responsible for coordinating with engineers, fabricators, and project teams to ensure seamless execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using Inventor, SolidWorks, and Advance Steel
- Produce fabrication, workshop, and erection drawings
- Develop models for structural steel and mechanical components
- Generate bills of materials (BOMs) and material take-offs
- Coordinate drawings with engineers, fabricators, and project teams
- Revise drawings based on design changes and site feedback
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Draughting, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering
- Proven experience using Inventor, SolidWorks, and Advance Steel
- Strong understanding of structural steel detailing and fabrication processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering calculations and specifications
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
Qualifications
