Johannesburg: Lead: GT Quality Coordinator

Introduction Harmony Gold Mine is seeking an expert and driven leader to fill the newly established role of Lead GT Quality Coordinator within our Group Technology division. This critical position brings specialized leadership to IT quality management and continuous service improvement across the organization. As a new role at Harmony, the successful incumbent will lead substantial engagement, communication, and relationship-building efforts across all business units and GT functions to ensure our IT systems and processes remain highly secure, efficient, and aligned with premium quality management standards. Minimum Requirements Applicants must fulfill the following criteria to be considered: Education: Bachelors degree in a relevant field (NQF 7), such as Business Administration or Information Technology. Experience: Proven experience in quality management with a demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality services. Framework Knowledge: Strong understanding of quality management frameworks and industry best practices (e.g., ISO 9001, LEAN, Six Sigma). Core Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and stakeholder management skills; robust analytical capabilities to distinguish operational trends and patterns. Licensing: Must possess a valid Drivers License. Advantageous Qualifications: Lean Six Sigma certification, Certified Quality Manager (CQM) designation or equivalent, and experience with Power BI. Job Description Summary The Lead GT Quality Coordinator will be responsible for implementing the IT Quality Management (ITQM) framework and enforcing its alignment with business objectives and safety standards. Key responsibilities include: Establishing Quality Standards: Defining, documenting, and managing the Group Technology Quality Management Framework and integrating standard operating procedures (SOPs) into daily IT practices. Continuous Improvement: Analyzing performance data and feedback to run Lean or Six Sigma initiatives that eradicate operational inefficiencies, control service costs, and cultivate a culture of ongoing enhancement. Dashboard & KPI Management: Designing, developing, and maintaining user-friendly quality management dashboards to provide real-time visibility into service delivery KPIs and SLAs for operational and senior teams. Stakeholder & Team Leadership: Guiding and mentoring a dedicated team of quality professionals while serving as a primary point of escalation for internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality-related issues promptly. Health and Safety Compliance: Taking responsibility for personal and team safety by adhering to the Mine Health and Safety Act, identifying workplace hazards, and ensuring zero harm practices.
