About the Role
You Choose Recruit is seeking an experienced and driven Lease Department Manager to lead our leasing division in Johannesburg. As Head of the Lease Department, you will be responsible for managing multiple teams, ensuring compliance across properties, driving operational efficiency, and maintaining high standards of corporate governance. This is a senior leadership role that requires both strategic oversight and hands-on operational leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all leasing operations comply with company policies, internal SOPs, and relevant legislation.
- Oversee lease agreements, amendments, renewals, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure accurate and timely tenant billing and invoicing in collaboration with Finance.
- Manage tenant renewals, continuance schedules, and contract execution.
- Ensure compliance with municipal regulations, maintenance standards, and contractual obligations.
- Monitor and maintain operational data within the MDA/MRI property management system.
- Uphold strong corporate governance standards across the department.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant professional qualification.
- Minimum 10 years’ proven experience in commercial property management.
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams within a property environment.
- Extensive experience with MRI/MDA property management systems (essential).
- Strong knowledge of commercial lease agreements and property compliance frameworks.
Qualifications
No formal education or certifications are required for this role. However, a strong commercial property background is essential.
