Job Description
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end logistics function at the plant, managing warehousing, distribution, and fleet operations while maintaining the high standards of safety and efficiency.
Summarised responsibilities:

Operational Oversight: Manage daily warehouse and distribution activities to ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery to customers.

Inventory Management: Oversee stock control processes, minimize waste/shrinkage, and ensure accurate record-keeping within the ERP system.

Cost Management: Monitor logistics expenditures and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.

Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the logistics staff and third-party service providers to meet operational KPIs.

Compliance & Safety: Ensure all activities comply with Health and Safety (NOSA/ISO) standards and transport regulations.

Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the supply chain and implement immediate, practical solutions.
Requirements:

Education: Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 58 years in a logistics management role, preferably within the FMCG or Manufacturing sector.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in an ERP system and advanced MS Excel skills.

Attributes: Strong analytical troubleshooting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

Availability: Must be able to commit to the full 6-month contract duration and start immediately or on short notice.
