Job Description
Hire Resolve’s Client is currently seeking a Management Accountant to join their team in Johannesburg. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading Insurance firm and contribute to the financial management of their organization. As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to senior management for decision making. You will also assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management review
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis
- Monitor key performance indicators and provide insights to support strategic decision making
- Identify trends, variances and areas for improvement in financial performance
- Develop and maintain financial models and scenarios to support long term planning
- Track actual vs budget variances and report on same
- Analyze costs and cost drivers to identify opportunities for cost reductions
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Conduct financial audits and implement internal controls
- Collaborate with other teams to improve financial processes and systems
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2-4 years experience as a Management Accountant or similar role
- CA(SA) or CMA designation advantageous
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
