About the Role

The National Construction Fleet and Equipment Technical Manager is a critical role that requires an experienced professional to manage the technical aspects of our construction fleet and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal utilization, maintenance, and profitability of our assets, while upholding regulatory requirements and providing technical support to teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage group assets such as road surfacing equipment, transportation vehicles, and company workshops processes and procedures.
  • Motivate and mentor a diverse team based at multiple workshops to ensure compliance with Hazchem and environmental regulations.
  • Accurately manage asset licensing, insurances/claims management, workshop documentation management.
  • Ensure equipment and vehicles are used efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Provide technical support to teams and key supplier management of goods and services per branch and workshop.
  • Monitor the scheduling servicing of equipment/fleet and ensure profitability.

Requirements

  • Completed Mechanical Engineering or related Diesel trade qualification.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in effectively managing group assets.
  • Strong background in motivating and mentoring a diverse team.
  • Solid track record in people management and development.
  • Experience in providing technical support to teams, key supplier management, and monitoring equipment/fleet scheduling.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Own car.
  • Clear criminal and credit record.
