Job Description

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Relevant ICT Diploma or similar qualification
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ corporate IT support experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and software
  • Experience supporting LAN and WLAN environments
  • Proven troubleshooting and technical support experience
  • Valid Code B driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel and sleep out when required

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, system and network issues
  • Respond to service desk requests and resolve user issues within SLA requirements
  • Set up new user accounts, profiles and passwords
  • Replace faulty hardware components where required
  • Support the rollout of new applications and system updates
  • Maintain ICT documentation and hardware/software registers
  • Obtain quotations for ICT-related repairs and replacements
  • Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment
  • Test and evaluate new technologies
  • Provide user support and technical reporting
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal users and third-party service providers
