About the Role
Network Finance is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our team in Johannesburg North. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial performance of our insurance operations, providing strategic guidance and support to the business unit. This is a key role that requires strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts for insurance operations.
- Monitor and report on budget vs actuals, highlighting key variances and providing actionable insights.
- Oversee cost control, expense analysis, and financial forecasting to support business strategy.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and insurance regulatory requirements.
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and capital allocation within the insurance business unit.
- Support internal and external audits, maintaining robust documentation and controls.
- Lead and mentor a team of accountants and finance analysts, fostering continuous improvement and high performance.
- Partner with operational and underwriting teams to provide financial guidance and decision support.
- Contribute to strategic planning, pricing, and profitability analysis for insurance products.
Requirements
- CA(SA) qualification mandatory
- 2 years experience in management accounting within the insurance sector
- Strong knowledge of insurance products, regulatory frameworks, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced Excel, financial modeling, and ERP system skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills
Preferred
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and performance management in a multi-line insurance environment
- Exposure to regulatory reporting (e.g., FAIS, IFRS 17, or local insurance regulations)
