Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Development
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across retail, hospitality, and wholesale channels
- Prepare quotes, manage orders, and ensure successful delivery
- Analyse customer trends and buying patterns
Buying & Procurement
- Source and procure specialty vegetables, and exotic & tropical produce
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international growers
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and seasonal availability
Relationship Management
- Act as a key point of contact between customers and suppliers
- Build long-term, trust-based partnerships
- Resolve issues relating to quality, pricing, and delivery
Commercial Coordination
- Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery
- Maintain accurate records of pricing, orders, and supplier agreements
- Support forecasting and supply planning processes
Market & Product Development
- Identify new product opportunities and emerging food trends
- Support the introduction of new product lines into the market
Minimum Requirements
- 1–3 years’ experience in a commercial, sales, procurement, or supply chain role
- Experience within fresh produce, agriculture, or FMCG (advantageous)
- Strong communication skills (English & Afrikaans preferred)
- Solid commercial understanding of pricing, margins, and trading
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel locally and internationally
- Valid passport
