About the Role
Our client, a mature and multientity organisation with a strong emphasis on governance, compliance, and reporting excellence, is appointing a Group Financial Reporting & IFRS Specialist to serve as the central technical resource within the finance function. This role offers autonomy, visibility, and meaningful involvement in strategic and technical finance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee compliance with accounting standards across the group and assess the impact of new IFRS developments
- Maintain and update group accounting policies in line with regulatory and operational changes
- Provide technical accounting guidance to finance teams across multiple entities
- Review and oversee statutory reporting, including AFS and group publications
- Manage year-end reporting processes, timelines, and deliverables
- Coordinate and manage external audit engagements
- Support group-level finance projects, including systems enhancements and acquisition analysis
- Manage group control self-assessment and internal control frameworks
Requirements
- Professionally qualified CA(SA)
- Minimum of 5 years’ post-article experience
- Strong background in technical accounting and statutory reporting
- Experience within group or multientity environments advantageous
- Proven ability to engage with auditors and senior stakeholders
- Advanced Excel capability
- Strong IFRS knowledge and technical interpretation skills
- Excellent analytical ability with high attention to detail
- Deadlinedriven and process-focused mindset
