About the Role
Network Finance is seeking a skilled UX/UI Designer to join our team in Johannesburg North. As a design professional, you will play a key role in shaping meaningful digital experiences by translating complex business and user requirements into elegant, functional, and accessible design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to understand user needs, business objectives, and product requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design user-centred solutions
- Translate insights into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
- Use research, analytics, and usability feedback to inform and improve design decisions
- Advocate for the user throughout the product lifecycle
- Ensure consistency across platforms, products, and brand touchpoints
- Design and improve product structure, navigation, and content hierarchy
- Solve complex design challenges using user-centred design thinking
- Create flows, prototypes, and interaction models that clearly communicate experiences
- Produce high-quality, visually consistent interfaces aligned with brand guidelines
- Contribute to and maintain design systems and reusable components
- Ensure responsive and accessible design across devices
- Conduct usability testing and research to validate design decisions
- Analyse user feedback and product data to identify improvement opportunities
- Iterate designs to enhance usability and experience
- Mentor and support junior designers within design communities
- Lead and contribute to design workshops, critiques, and ideation sessions
- Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and continuous learning
- Advocate for UX best practices across teams and projects
- Contribute to proposals and client presentations
- Support the growth and development of the design community
- Manage multiple UX projects simultaneously
- Define scope, goals, and deliverables with stakeholders
- Track progress, manage priorities, and mitigate project risks
Requirements
- Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
- 3+ years’ experience in UX/UI or product design
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design process and problem-solving ability
- Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar
- Experience in user research and usability testing
- Strong leadership and mentoring capability
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Experience working in Agile or Lean UX environments (advantageous)
- Consulting, agency, or client-facing experience beneficial
