About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Online Tutor to join our team at SOARing Scholars. As an Online Tutor, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, engaging, and learner-centred online tutoring sessions to students in Grades 1–12. Your primary responsibility will be to support learners’ academic growth while upholding SOARing Scholars’ commitment to excellence, consistency, and personalised education.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, interactive online tutoring sessions via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet
- Support learners in Grades 1–12 across assigned subjects in line with the CAPS and IEB curriculum
- Prepare lesson plans, activities, and revision support tailored to individual learner needs
- Track learner progress and provide constructive academic feedback
- Encourage learner participation, confidence, and independent thinking
- Maintain accurate attendance records and communicate professionally with the academic team
Requirements
- Matric and/or a post-matric qualification
- At least 1 year of online tutoring or teaching experience
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain concepts clearly
- Available between 15:00 – 21:00 (SAST)
