Job Summary

Minimum requirements for the role: Must have previous experience working as a plastic setter or in a related role within the injection moulding industry. Previous experience having worked on an Engel machine is preferred for the role. Proficiency in machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting of plastic injection moulding machines is essential. Strong technical skills, including the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. The candidate should have knowledge of plastic materials, processing techniques, and mould design principles. Must be familiar with quality control methods and tools for inspecting moulded parts. Must have excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Overseeing and setting up, adjusting, and maintaining plastic injection moulding machines to ensure efficient production and high-quality output. Setting up and preparing plastic injection moulding machines according to production requirements, including installing molds, adjusting settings, and connecting auxiliary equipment. Optimising machine parameters, such as temperature, pressure, and cycle time, to achieve desired part quality and production efficiency. Identifying and resolving issues related to machine operation, part quality, and process deviations in a timely manner to minimise downtime. Performing routine maintenance tasks on molds and tooling, such as cleaning, greasing, and replacing components, to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Monitoring production output and inspecting molded parts for defects, ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications. Maintaining accurate production records, including process parameters, downtime logs, and quality inspection reports, to track performance and facilitate continuous improvement. Adhering to safety protocols and procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents or injuries. Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
