About the Role

The Production Coordinator Systems role is an essential part of our production team, requiring a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to manage day-to-day tasks and ensure seamless workflow. As a Production Coordinator, you will play a critical role in allocating tasks, tracking progress, and maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Allocate and distribute production tasks to appropriate teams or individuals based on the daily production schedule
  • Utilise the MS Planner app to track and update the progress of ongoing production tasks
  • Regularly update the app with real-time information regarding the status of each job to facilitate effective communication across the production and planning teams
  • Co-ordinate with the Stores Department to requisition necessary materials and components for production
  • Implement a visual scanning system to track the progress of jobs on the production floor
  • Allocate materials and components efficiently, ensuring that each job has the required resources for timely completion
  • Conduct final quality control checks on completed production tasks before handover to the next Department
  • Oversee the completion of maintenance logs for production equipment and machinery
  • Manage and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations

Requirements

  • Matric or relevant tertiary qualification
  • Refrigeration experience would be beneficial
  • Previous exposure to a production environment would be advantageous
  • Strong technical/operational background
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office applications
