Job Description

What you will be doing: Plan, direct, and oversee all phases of complex projects or programmes across the enterprise. Align project execution with business strategy through effective planning, organizing, staffing, negotiating, and controlling of project activities. Develop and maintain detailed project documentation including objectives, timelines, risks, and contingency plans. Escalate impediments, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of project value. Foster continuous improvement within teams and support Agile practices across software development projects. Lead hybrid Agile/Waterfall initiatives with a strong focus on scaled Lean-Agile principles. Ensure alignment of program goals with stakeholder expectations and business outcomes. What we are looking for : Completed IT / BSc degree or other related fields 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager Strong decision-making and financial management skills. Proficient in project management principles and methodologies. Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies; Scrum Master certification is advantageous. Proficient in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Project (MSP). Excellent facilitation, report writing, and communication skills. Familiarity with governance, risk, and control frameworks. Job Description

Job Title: Project Manager Employment Type: Permanent Work Location: On-Site JOB CONTEXT: Were looking for a passionate, energetic, and detail-savvy Project Manager to bring structure, momentum, and excitement to our projects! In this role, youll be the powerhouse that turns big ideas into real resultsleading teams, driving timelines, and keeping every moving part in sync. Youll guide projects from concept to completion, keep communication flowing, and make sure every goal is hit with confidence and style. KEY OUTPUTS: Plan the Project: Define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management and other project stakeholders. Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project. Determine the resources (people, time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project. Develop a detailed schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities and takes into account the long-term impact of decisions and possible risks. Engage with senior management and all stakeholders / staff that will be affected by the project activities, to review the project schedule; revise the schedule as required. Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion. Staff the Project: In consultation with the appropriate manager, recruit, interview and select staff and/or volunteers with appropriate skills for the project activities. Ensure that all project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the organization and the project. Implement the Project: Execute the project according to the approved execution plans and manage project deliverables making decisions and solving problems within the scope of the project. Escalate non-project related decisions and problems to the project sponsor/business owner. Ensure that the project deliverables are met on time, within budget and at the required level of quality. Develop forms and records to document project activities. Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured. Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project. Monitor and control the project: Write reports on the project for management and project owners/funders and Exco. Communicate with funders as outlined in funding agreements. Monitor and approve all budgeted project expenditures. Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to senior management on a regular basis (monthly/bimonthly). Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures. Ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date. Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation for funders as outlined in funding agreements QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: Project Integration Management skills. Project Quality Management skills. Project Resource Planning and Control skills. Project Schedule Management skills. Project Tracking and Reporting skills. Knowledge of business policies, processes and procedures, legal compliance. NQF Level 7: Bachelors degree in BSc or BCom. Qualification in project management or equivalent is a must. SCRUM Masters qualification / Agile developmental methodology advantageous. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: At least 5 years or more Project Management experience. Direct work experience in project management capacity. Sound experience planning and managing complex medium to long-term projects (6 24 months). Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management. Knowledge of project management techniques and tools. PACKAGE & REMUNERATION: Negotiable depending on Qualifications and Experience.

About the Role We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Project Manager to join our dynamic product and technology teams. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution Lead the end-to-end delivery of projects, including scope definition, scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and budgeting. Develop detailed project plans, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery against milestones and KPIs. Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating when necessary. Ensure projects adhere to governance frameworks, compliance, and organizational standards. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among product managers, developers, QA, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders. Conduct regular project status meetings, steering committees, and progress reporting to executive leadership. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior project coordinators or PMO staff. Process & Continuous Improvement Implement and champion Agile/Scrum methodologies, fostering a culture of iterative delivery and continuous improvement. Standardize project management processes, tools, and templates across teams. Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future project delivery. Monitor project performance metrics and implement improvements to increase efficiency and outcomes. Requirements & Qualifications Must-Have Skills: 7 years of professional experience in project management, including large-scale, cross-functional initiatives. Proven ability to lead projects in an Agile/Scrum environment. Strong experience in stakeholder management and executive communication. Solid understanding of project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Asana, Trello). Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management skills. Highly Desirable Skills: Experience managing software development, IT, or digital transformation projects. Familiarity with hybrid project methodologies (Waterfall Agile). Knowledge of process improvement frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma, PMI-ACP principles). Experience in vendor management and contract administration. Familiarity with project reporting dashboards and performance metrics. Education & Certifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
