About the Role

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing a team and overseeing the delivery of projects related to bulk materials handling and mechanical systems. The successful incumbent will play a key role in achieving financial, trading, quality, cultural, ethical, and legislative targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project teams, including project engineers, project managers, project administrators, and site teams.
  • Plan and direct department activities to achieve stated and agreed targets and standards.
  • Maintain departmental culture, values, and reputation in markets and with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within specifications, and allocated budget.
  • Chair weekly project progress meetings.
  • Oversee overall management of assigned projects, including planning and programming, project duration management, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

About the Role

The Project Manager role in our Johannesburg office is a critical position that coordinates and leads all Shared Services projects within the CFO portfolio. The incumbent will be responsible for managing scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and delivery targets to ensure successful project execution across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects across Supply Chain, HR, and IT within the Shared Services environment.
  • Provide administrative governance and structured project management support within the CFO area.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope definition, scheduling, resource allocation, staffing, and work breakdown structures.
  • Prepare project proposals and align planning with relevant department heads, including resource planning and contracting.
