About the Role
The Quality and Risk Manager plays a crucial role in improving quality within our network and in our firms’ quality endeavours. The individual with the direction and supervision of the PKF SA Head of Quality and Risk ensures that the network adheres to the applicable professional and legal requirements. This is a critical position that requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a high degree of independence and professional judgement.
Key Responsibilities
- Participating in the planning and scoping of risk-based inspections of completed engagements (monitoring reviews)
- Inspecting planned audit engagements (monitoring reviews)
- Regular interactions with member firms and discussing findings with the engagement partners and leadership of the member firms
- Demonstrating a high degree of independence and professional judgement to drive matters to conclusion
- Researching and consulting internally on technical matters
- Preparing high quality reports
- Performance of compliance related reviews
- Participating in relevant network related quality initiatives/projects
Requirements
- CA (SA) who trained in public practice (external audit)
- At least, three years post qualification/articles experience
- Experience as a Manager/Senior Manager or equivalent in an external audit firm
- Excellent technical knowledge and experience in auditing and financial reporting standards
