About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking a Quality Manager to join their team in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and managing quality control processes throughout manufacturing, ensuring adherence to specifications, standards, and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and manage quality control processes throughout manufacturing.
- Conduct inspections and audits of fabrication to ensure adherence to specifications, standards, and customer needs.
- Analyse quality problems and apply corrective and preventive actions.
- Educate and guide employees on quality standards and procedures.
- Create and maintain quality documents, including plans, checklists, and traceability records.
- Oversee ISO 9001 implementation or similar standards.
- Develop and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Manage internal audits, non-conformance reports, and improvement initiatives.
- Prepare for certifications and coordinate with external auditors.
- Supervise and maintain the Health & Safety system.
- Perform regular H&S inspections and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Assist with incident investigations and ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting.
- Foster a culture of safety and ongoing improvement.
Requirements
- A National Diploma or Degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in quality control or quality management within a manufacturing setting, ideally with stainless steel or metal fabrication.
- Practical knowledge of ISO 9001 implementation and auditing.
- In-depth understanding of welding, fabrication processes, and the properties of stainless steel.
- Familiarity with South African OHS regulations and Health & Safety systems.
