About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Warehouse Developer to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data warehouse solutions that meet the needs of our business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable data warehouse solutions
Develop, maintain, and optimise ETL/ELT processes to ensure efficient data flows
Configure real-time data replication from source systems using tools such as Stelo SQDR
Convert legacy Excel-based reporting into Power BI solutions
Develop professional dashboards and reports for business stakeholders
Ensure accuracy, integrity, and reconciliation of data to source systems
Reporting & Analytics: Develop Power BI solutions from high-level technical and business requirements
Perform quality assurance on new reporting functionality
Communicate data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Proactively identify trends, insights, and improvement opportunities
Governance & Support: Promote data governance principles, standards, and best practices
Ensure compliance with data security and confidentiality requirements
Participate in operational support, troubleshooting data and reporting issues
Produce and maintain documentation for developed solutions

Requirements

Strong SQL and data warehousing expertise
Power BI development and data visualisation skills
ETL/ELT design and development experience
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and within collaborative teams

Qualifications

Minimum 3-year Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics
