Johannesburg: Senior Growth Marketer posted by WatersEdge Solutions

Job Description

About the Role

WatersEdge Solutions is partnering with a fast-scaling global HR tech business to recruit a highly commercial and execution-focused Senior Growth Marketer, ABM. This is a standout opportunity for someone who thrives in challenger-brand environments and knows how to drive pipeline through sharp, account-based paid strategy rather than broad, volume-led demand generation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and execute ABM-led paid strategy across LinkedIn, Google, programmatic, affiliate, and retargeting channels
  • Build and manage account-level measurement inside HubSpot and Salesforce
  • Partner with growth engineering to ship AI-assisted workflows, enrichment pipelines, and creative production systems
  • Brief SDRs on warming target accounts and campaign-driven account engagement
  • Manage direct media buys with publishers, newsletters, and intent platforms using named account targeting
  • Drive direct mail and personalised account-based experiences where they create pipeline movement
  • Brief and launch landing pages, microsites, and 1:few ABM experiences with rapid turnaround
  • Launch new experiments weekly and shut down underperforming campaigns quickly
  • Report on paid-influenced pipeline rather than MQL volume
  • Audit current paid activity and refine channel strategy for a challenger growth position

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in B2B paid marketing, ideally in SaaS
  • Proven experience running true ABM campaigns with named accounts, multi-channel orchestration, SDR handoff, and account-level reporting
  • Strong command of paid channels including LinkedIn, Google Search, Display, programmatic, and affiliate
  • Strong data fluency and ability to use tools such as Clay, Apollo, ZoomInfo, or equivalent
  • Confident using Claude or similar LLMs to build workflows and operational leverage
  • Technical enough to brief a growth engineer and interpret implementation output
  • Strong commercial instinct on where a challenger brand should and should not compete
  • Bias toward experimentation, speed, and pipeline outcomes
  • Strong independent ownership and ability to work without a large team structure
