About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Secretary to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will provide high-level administrative support to attorneys and play a critical role in managing litigation diaries, court deadlines, and correspondence.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting and typing of pleadings, notices, and correspondence
- Managing litigation diaries and court deadlines
- Liaising with clients, counsel, sheriffs, and correspondents
- Filing and serving of court documents
- General administrative and secretarial support to attorneys
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Litigation Secretary
- Strong High Court and Magistrates Court litigation experience
- Experience with drafting and typing legal documents, notices, and pleadings
- Proficient in relevant legal software (e.g. GhostPractice / Legal Suite or similar)
- Excellent knowledge of court procedures and timeframes
