About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Secretary to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will provide high-level administrative support to attorneys and play a critical role in managing litigation diaries, court deadlines, and correspondence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting and typing of pleadings, notices, and correspondence
  • Managing litigation diaries and court deadlines
  • Liaising with clients, counsel, sheriffs, and correspondents
  • Filing and serving of court documents
  • General administrative and secretarial support to attorneys

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Litigation Secretary
  • Strong High Court and Magistrates Court litigation experience
  • Experience with drafting and typing legal documents, notices, and pleadings
  • Proficient in relevant legal software (e.g. GhostPractice / Legal Suite or similar)
  • Excellent knowledge of court procedures and timeframes
