About the Role
The SHEQ Coordinator will support the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of Ver-Bolt & Ver-Chems Safety, Health, Environment & Quality systems. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, internal procedures and international standards, including ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Support ISO 9001:2015 QMS processes, including documentation control, internal audits, management reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformances, and compile detailed reports with recommendations.
- Maintain accurate SHEQ records, reports, and metrics for management review.
- Facilitate SHEQ training and awareness programs for all employees.
- Collaborate with internal departments to promote a culture of safety, compliance, and quality excellence.
- Keep abreast of legislative changes and industry best practices, advising management accordingly.
- Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of the company’s SHEQ policies, procedures and programs.
- Monitor compliance with health and safety, environmental and quality standards across all operational areas.
Requirements
- National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Quality Management or related field.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a SHEQ role, preferably within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Practical experience in implementing and maintaining ISO 9001:2015 QMS.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) standards is advantageous.

Basic salary between R 12,000.00 – R 15,000.00 per annum, plus KPI commission (details discussed during the interview).
