About the Role
Holobye Trading 2 (PTY) LTD is seeking a reliable PEST CONTROL OFFICER to join our team in Johannesburg South. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for identifying and eliminating pest infestations on our properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspection and Identification: Thoroughly examining buildings, foundations, and surrounding areas to locate signs of pests (e.g., droppings, nests, property damage).
- Treatment Application: Mixing and applying pesticides, herbicides, and baits safely, using sprayers, dusters, and other equipment.
- Pest Exclusion: Sealing gaps, cracks, and entry points with materials like foam, mesh, or wood to prevent pest access.
- Trapping and Removal: Setting mechanical traps for rodents and removing wildlife or nuisance pests, including wasp nests.
- Client Advice: Educating clients on sanitation methods and structural modifications to deter future infestations.
- Documentation and Safety: Maintaining accurate reports, calculating service costs, and adhering to strict safety protocols regarding chemical handling and, if necessary, wearing protective gear.

- Pest Control Certificate (Issued by Fertilizers Farm Feeds, Agricultural Remedies and Stock Remedies Act No. 36 of 1947 of Department of Agriculture, Forest and Fisheries OR Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development)
