About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join their team in Johannesburg, Gauteng. Our client requires a highly skilled professional with extensive knowledge of inventory management, freight management, warehouse management, logistics management, and business management.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for developing & supporting the execution of operational strategy while ensuring governance and looking at initiatives to significantly improve the value chain
- To introduce tools, dashboards, and processes to ensure predictable and sustainable results across the region and maintain outstanding performance in terms of deliverables
- Set targets to measure and manage warehousing, distribution, and inventory planning productivity
- Within operations identify causes of problems, bottlenecks, and non-value-added activities and initiate corrective and preventative actions
- Manage stock levels, within planning parameters in terms of annual ABC Analysis, safety stock review, stock replenishment, strategic stocking, and obsolete stock
- Accountable for delivering the highest standards of warehouse operations, both in-house and nominated 3PL services, that result in cost efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Support the global warehousing management strategy, supporting the global operational excellence initiatives while adhering to local compliance within QEHS
- Ensuring stock count accuracy through cycle counting activities
- Managing SLAs, negotiating costs and pricing with 3PL suppliers
- Managing the seamless authorization of monthly supplier payments
- System owner of Common Systems and managing Common System access reviews
Requirements
- A minimum of 8-10 years with proven inventory management, freight management, warehouse management, logistics management, and business management, including employment within a multi-national company
- A minimum of 5-7 years in a generalist management role with proven leadership experience within a multi-national company
- Extensive knowledge of ERP systems, including DOH, COH, DWM, and Syspro
- Knowledge of negotiations with large 3PLs
- Ability to develop processes and systems to improve operational efficiencies

- Completed Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (no specific degree mentioned)
