Job Description

Job Overview

Our client in the Education and Training Industry is seeking a Temp System Developer to join their team. This role offers an opportunity for an experienced developer to work on various projects and contribute to the growth of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop systems as required by the organization.
  • Capacitate end-users on modules, ensuring they are proficient in their use.
  • Provide technical support for module utilization, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Allow for testing, supporting implementation processes with the sector, and correct or conduct development work as needed.
  • Identify improvements that may be required of the application and/or system, implementing changes to enhance functionality.
  • Develop automated systems for SETA supportive functions, utilizing relevant software development life cycles and methodologies.
  • Conduct JAD sessions on project status and proposals, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with customers or Business Units to resolve technical issues related to software system design and maintenance.
  • Prepare reports as required by the organization.

Requirements

  • At least a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSc, BIT, or other equivalent qualifications) is mandatory for this role.
  • Proficiency in Software Development methodologies, including Agile methodologies, is essential.
  • A proven track record with at least 4 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Certification in development technologies will be advantageous.
  • Experience with SETA Systems will be an added advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of and experience with the following:
  • Development: Web, Windows & Mobile Development; .NET Core Framework; ASP.NET, MVC, Web API and Core; HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript; jQuery, Angular and React; ORM; Web Services (REST & SOAP), Workflow systems.
  • Databases: SQL Server 2012-2019; MySQL 5.6 – 8.0; Database Design.
