About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Welding Foreman to join our team in Johannesburg, responsible for supervising welding and fabrication operations, ensuring smooth workflow, and adhering to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Overseeing the work of welders, assigning tasks, and ensuring smooth workflow
Understanding welding processes, interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, and troubleshooting welding issues.
Participation in the fabrication of metal components including welding, cutting, and shaping
Usage of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery
General tasks in department, including cleaning pressure vessel equipment
Liaising with Production teams

Requirements

Matric
Own transport
Understanding welding processes
Interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
Troubleshooting welding issues.
Able to work long hours and under pressure
High energy levels and self-motivated
Able to follow instructions
Reliable transport
Good communication skills (ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members)
Minimum of 5 years experience as a Semi-skilled boilermaker.
