Job Description
Our client is currently seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join their team in their mining operation situated at Kathu, Northern Cape.
Key Performance Areas:
Maintenance of equipment
Ensuring vehicles under area responsibility are in good condition
Inspecting vehicles and analyzing raised faults
Participation in a standby team for breakdown maintenance
Maintaining customer relations and good housekeeping
Equipment inspection and supervision of people, ensuring compliance with safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) standards.
Qualifications Required:
- Grade 12
- Certificate in Diesel Mechanic (trade)
- Preference given to NQF4 qualified artisans
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience as a Diesel Mechanic
- Experience with CAT (D10T2) is advantageous
- Minimum of two (2) years operational Earth Moving Equipment experience
Specific Requirements:
- Proficiency with Komatsu PC2000, PC5500, WA1200; Caterpillar D10T2/D11T; Liebherr R996B/R9800
