Job Description
About the Role
Busbar Services is seeking a highly organised and detail-driven individual to fill the role of Buyer & Receptionist (Procurement & Front Office Coordinator). This position combines procurement and reception duties, requiring a candidate who can manage multiple priorities while maintaining a professional front office presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure materials, components, and services required for production
- Request and compare supplier quotations
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers
- Generate and manage purchase orders
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with production to avoid shortages
- Maintain accurate supplier and pricing records
- Follow up on deliveries and resolve supply issues
- Manage the front desk and welcome visitors professionally
- Answer and direct incoming calls and emails
- Handle general administrative duties (filing, scanning, document control)
- Coordinate couriers and deliveries
- Maintain a clean and organised reception area
- Assist management with ad hoc administrative tasks
Requirements
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work accurately under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-driven and able to multitask
- Basic knowledge of procurement procedures and practices
