About the Role
We are seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to join our team in South Africa. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall quality of our produce, from intake to line and cull factors. You will also assist with pre-operational planning, troubleshooting, and communication with the QC Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the overall quality of produce, from intake/internals to line and cull factors, ensuring that QC reports accurately reflect the quality observed and captured.
- Assist quality controllers with pre-operational planning, troubleshooting problems, and assisting with issues escalation and communication.
- Responsible for the stock take of QC equipment and chemicals and ordering of new stock as and when needed to avoid any testing delays or inaccuracies.
- Ensure that the QC Team adheres to Quality Compliance and Safety procedures.
- Monitor inspections effectively and efficiently, providing quick feedback to the team and growers.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by management.
Requirements
- Grade 12 and relevant higher qualification
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Tools)
- Relevant experience in Citrus/Agriculture will be an added advantage
