About the Role
The Customs Specialist position is a critical role in ensuring compliance with SARS regulations, managing import/export documentation, and maintaining accurate records for our client’s fresh produce operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage import/export documentation, including customs clearance and compliance
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of shipments, including tracking and tracing
- Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and logistics providers to facilitate smooth imports and exports
- Maintain knowledge of SARS requirements and updates to regulations
- Provide administrative support to the operations team
Requirements
- Matric (essential)
- Relevant qualification in Customs, Logistics, Supply Chain, Freight Forwarding, or International Trade advantageous
- Minimum 23 years experience in import/export administration or customs clearing
- Fresh produce / agricultural industry experience preferred
