About the Role
Takora Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our supply chain operations in Kempton Park. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing commercial teams and driving business growth through effective financial management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial teams from a new business sales environment
- Oversee FTL & LTL/ brokerage in trucking operations
- Lead the development of key EBIT drivers and P&Ls
- Engage with internal EXCO members to drive strategic decision-making
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services through effective logistics management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain and/or similar tertiary qualification or Matric
- At least 5 years of experience in end-to-end Supply Chain and/or transport
- At least 3 years managing commercial teams (individuals) from a new business sales environment
- Experience in FTL & LTL/brokerage in trucking
- Leadership experience
- Strong financial acumen with a clear understanding of P&Ls and key EBIT drivers
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain and/or similar tertiary qualification or Matric
