About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team in Kempton Park. As a key member of our supply chain management team, you will be responsible for sourcing products and materials at the most favourable price consistent with quality, quantity, and specification requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement processes for technical manufacturing industry products and materials
- Develop, examine, select, order, and purchase products and materials in accordance with quality, quantity, and specification requirements
- Monitor lead times of orders on JDE weekly
- Comply with RFPs and manage the subsequent tender process until adjudication and award stages
- Conduct commercial and quality supplier audits for critical supply base with the relevant Quality department as needed
Requirements
- Qualification in Procurement / Supply Chain related tertiary qualification
- 7 years’ experience in the Procurement field within technical manufacturing industry (e.g. steel fabrication, paints, coatings or linings)
- 2 years of management experience in procurement
- Computer literate and good knowledge of MS Office and MS Projects
