Candidates without high-temperature plant, MV switching, or industrial maintenance exposure will not be considered. Our client, a well-established industrial manufacturing operation in Ladysmith , is seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN to support continuous plant operations and high-temperature production processes . This role is suited to a technically strong, disciplined electrician who is comfortable working in a high-risk, high-heat industrial environment and who understands the pressures of manufacturing uptime, breakdown response, and standby support. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Electrical maintenance, fault-finding, repair, and optimisation of plant equipment Electrical support to high-temperature furnaces, instrumentation, and control systems Medium-voltage switching and isolation (up to 11kV) PLC fault-finding and basic programming (Mitsubishi, Omron, Delta) Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and drawings Breakdown response, standby duties, and planned maintenance Supervisory support and weekly progress reporting Compliance with safety, quality, and plant procedures EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: Trade Tested Electrician N4 Electrical Qualification Wiremans Licence (essential) Minimum 4-5 years post trade-test industrial experience High-temperature furnace instrumentation exposure 11kV switching experience Valid drivers licence Strong fault-finding and attention to detail Traceable & contactable references Local residency or relocation required
