About the Role
A senior Sales Operations Executive is required to lead and optimise sales performance, commercial strategy, and operational alignment across a well-established FMCG manufacturing & distribution group based in Northern KwaZulu-Natal. The ideal candidate will be a highly analytical, commercially driven leader with a proven track record in driving revenue growth, managing sales teams, and aligning sales with operations in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage sales operations, reporting structures, and performance tracking systems
- Develop and implement sales strategies, budgets, and revenue targets
- Oversee and drive regional sales team performance and accountability
- Analyse sales data, market trends, and customer behaviour to inform decision-making
- Manage and grow key accounts and distribution channels
- Align sales strategy with production, logistics, and supply chain operations
- Develop and implement pricing strategies, margin control, and profitability models
- Monitor and report on KPIs, sales forecasts, and performance metrics
- Identify new market opportunities, product expansion, and growth initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement across sales processes, systems, and structures
- Ensure strong customer relationships and service delivery standards
Requirements
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Sales, Business Management, Marketing or similar (essential)
- Min 8 years FMCG sales experience, with exposure to manufacturing / distribution environments
- Proven experience in sales leadership and team management
- Strong commercial acumen with a focus on revenue growth and profitability
- Advanced analytical and reporting capability (Excel, sales systems, KPI tracking)
- Experience managing key accounts, retail channels, and distribution networks
- Strong understanding of pricing strategy, margins, and cost control
Qualifications
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Sales, Business Management, Marketing or similar (if applicable)
