About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Management Couple to join our 5-star exclusive Game Lodge in the Welgevonden Big 5 Game Reserve as part of an exciting expansion project. The successful candidates will support the lodge’s ordinary business operations while contributing to its growth over the next few years.
Key Responsibilities
- Guiding and nature guiding activities
- Participation in daily food and beverage services
- Hosting and guest relations
- Administration and management tasks
- Maintenance and upkeep of the lodge
- Housekeeping duties
Requirements
- 5 years of experience working in a Luxury 5 Star Game Lodge, interacting with international guests
- Flexibility to participate in various aspects of lodge operations
- Passion for the hospitality industry and nature guiding
- Age between 25 and 35
- Qualifications as a Nature Guide and current Trails Guide Qualifications (for male candidate)
- General experience in lodge administration
- Experience in food, beverage, hosting, and housekeeping
Qualifications
- Male candidate: Qualified as a Nature Guide with current Trails Guide Qualifications
- Female candidate: Qualifications as a chef or general experience in lodge administration
Salary & Benefits
- Monthly gross remuneration of approximately R15,000 per person (negotiable depending on qualifications and experience)
- Food allowance of R1 500 per person per month (over and above the salary)
- Provided uniform
- Laundry and room cleaning services by lodge staff
- Gratuities received mostly directly to guides or shared in the tips pool for the day
