About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and service-driven Duty Manager for a luxury safari lodge based in the North West. This role is ideal for a hands-on hospitality professional who thrives in a remote lodge environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Experience & Service Excellence: Ensure a seamless and memorable guest experience from arrival to departure, handle guest queries, requests and complaints professionally and efficiently, maintain exceptional service standards across all departments.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee daily lodge operations to ensure smooth service delivery, coordinate closely with housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance and guiding teams, ensure all areas of the lodge are maintained to luxury standards.
- Team Leadership: Support, guide and motivate the front-of-house and operational teams, assist with staff training and performance management, lead by example to maintain high morale and service excellence.
- Administration & Reporting: Manage daily reports, guest feedback and operational checklists, assist with stock control and general lodge administration, ensure compliance with health, safety and company standards.
Requirements
Minimum 35 years experience in a similar role within a luxury lodge or five-star hospitality environment. Strong front-of-house and operational knowledge. Excellent guest relations and problem-solving skills. Confident leadership ability with a hands-on management style. Computer literacy and experience with hotel management systems. Strong organisational and administrative skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
