Job Summary
Are you a creative thinker with a passion for transforming spaces into beautiful, functional environments? Our client is looking for a talented and driven Junior Interior Designer to join their dynamic design team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a company known for its innovative approach and attention to detail in both residential and commercial interior design.

Minimum requirements:
- Matric
- Experience in interior design
- Relevant qualification (National Diploma in Interior Design) – advantageous
- Good knowledge of interior design
- Must have own transport
- Must have experience in Photoshop and CorelDraw
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English
- Valid driver license and own vehicle

Duties and responsibilities:

Design Support
-
Assist senior designers in developing creative concepts and design solutions for residential and commercial projects

Prepare mood boards, material palettes, and presentation boards

Technical Drawings & Documentation
-
Create floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings using design software (e.g., Photoshop and CorelDraw)

Assist in the preparation of design documentation for client presentations and project implementation

Project Coordination
-
Support in managing project timelines and deliverables
-
Help coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure smooth execution of design plans
-

Material & Product Sourcing
-
Research and source furniture, finishes, lighting, and dcor in line with design intent and client budget

Maintain and update the materials library and supplier database
-

Client Interaction
-
Attend client meetings with senior designers and take notes or assist in preparing design proposals
-
Provide professional support in presenting design concepts and responding to client feedback
-

Site Visits
-
Participate in site inspections to measure spaces, check progress, and ensure design implementation aligns with the original vision
-
Assist in snag lists and post-installation evaluations
-

Administrative Tasks
-
Help manage design files, project folders, and internal documentation

Support the team with general studio tasks and project organization

Remuneration:
R 8 000 – R 10 000 (depending on experience)
