The role manages the tactical and operational support for assigned functions across the plant. General Process Lead tactical direction settling and plan for the business area in alignment to the companys strategy Lead the implementation of Nasonti and Engineering strategy, plans, policy and groups standards against target and timelines Prioritise project and departmental scheduling and delivery to tactical and strategic business objectives (mining, engineering, property management, water services, facility management etc, i.e.,) Provide technical advice, support and oversight for engineering excellence across departments Lead asset management, maintenance and availability Provide leadership, support and guidance to managers to ensure success delivery Drive alignment, collaboration and synergy between the business various departments Develop and maintain policies, standards and procedures for engineering Coordinate and integrate activities across areas of responsibility (per legal appointment standards) Design, establish and embed efficient Engineering and Maintenance structures, plans and governance structures Promote related proposals, communication, services, providers, projects, budgets, resourcing and change management Support and guide all workstreams to ensure successful operational launches Define, establish and utilise an efficient and effective knowledge capture processes, tooling and reporting Drive continuous improvement and manage operational risks Identify innovative ways to improve business practices, processes and synergies to increase revenue, efficiencies or effectiveness Identify, report and comment on key technical issues, risks and opportunities for value-add within areas of expertise and impact Monitor costs or expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies and reduce waste Compile the mining budget per annum (signs and traffic, resources, diesels, water dowsers, etc.) Comply with cost controls in order to achieve section budget Report on cost usage that reflects delivery of work within agreed parameters Identify repeat failures that contribute to wastage Budget vs Actual Cost efficiencies Minimised fines and penalties Stakeholder Relationships Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation Build professional long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders Investigate and understand stakeholders needs to enable delivery of a quality service Ensure customer service solutions are aligned to the operational business plan Ensure product knowledge and advice is technically accurate and provide stakeholders with relevant information to keep them informed of products and service options Ensure timeous resolution of stakeholder queries and complaints and take ownership of issues Manage a division that builds people and creates an inclusive work environment Clearly define goals and objectives and provide direction, coaching and regular feedback Ensure performance contracts are implemented and that performance reviews are conducted Ensure timesheets, leave, and travel requests are submitted and approved timeously Ensure compliance with all HR policies, procedures and standards Ensure conflict resolution and respond to any complaints or concerns Support skills development and transfer initiatives Ensure that all team members are competent to deliver the outputs of their jobs within a specified time after being appointed in the position Ensure knowledge transfer amongst peers Main Requirements Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) Additional management degree Knowledge Required Level Mining legislation Labour relations On-surface mining Business knowledge and acumen Advanced Technical Skill Ability to apply Knowledge Level of Proficiency Understanding technical matters In-depth knowledge and experience across the mining industry Corporate governance principles Email cv to
