About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineer Mining to join our client’s team in Middelburg for a 4-month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing a best practice Engineering division across the entire business, with a focus on tactical and operational support for assigned functions across the plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and manage a best practice Engineering division across the entire business
• Manage the tactical and operational support for assigned functions across the plant
• Lead the implementation of Nasonti and Engineering strategy, plans, policy and groups standards against target and timelines
• Prioritise project and departmental scheduling and delivery to tactical and strategic business objectives (mining, engineering, property management, water services, facility management etc.)
• Provide technical advice, support and oversight for engineering excellence across departments
• Lead asset management, maintenance and availability
• Drive alignment, collaboration and synergy between the business various departments
• Develop and maintain policies, standards and procedures for engineering
• Coordinate and integrate activities across areas of responsibility (per legal appointment standards)
• Design, establish and embed efficient Engineering and Maintenance structures, plans and governance structures

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical)
• Additional management degree
• Knowledge Required Level: Mining legislation, Labour relations, On-surface mining, Business knowledge and acumen
• Advanced Technical Skill
• Ability to apply Knowledge
• Understanding technical matters
• In-depth knowledge and experience across the mining industry
