About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pre-Owned Truck Sales Executive to join our team in Middelburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of success in commercial truck sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced sales environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell the maximum number of quality pre-owned / used trucks by understanding customer operational requirements and matching the correct truck solutions to their business needs.
- Develop and maintain strong fleet and commercial customer relationships while actively sourcing new business opportunities within the trucking and transport sector.
- Achieve maximum first and second gross profit while ensuring customer satisfaction in line with company sales standards to encourage repeat and referral business.
- Initiate, structure, negotiate, and close used truck sales deals effectively.
- Prepare professional quotations, vehicle specifications, and finance-related documentation where required.
- Present suitable used truck solutions and proposals to assist clients in making informed purchasing decisions.
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements, including CPA regulations and accurate completion of sales documentation.
- Maintain regular networking and promotional activities to increase market share and grow the used truck customer base.
- Work closely with management to implement effective sales strategies and identify opportunities to improve sales performance and profitability.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years commercial / truck sales experience within a franchised dealership environment.
- Matric / Grade 12 essential.
- Experience within a high-volume commercial dealership preferred.
- Must be self-motivated, target-driven, and sales focused.
- Strong lead generation, negotiation, and deal-closing ability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced sales environment.
