About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Agronomist with a strong background in fertilizer management to join our team in Middelburg, Mpumalanga. As an Agronomist, you will be responsible for identifying and resolving issues related to crop health, soil quality, and fertilizer application.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on crop health and soil quality
- Identify potential issues with fertilizer application and provide solutions
- Develop and implement effective fertilizer management plans
- Collaborate with farmers and other stakeholders to achieve agricultural goals
- Provide expert advice on crop management and fertilizer use
- Travel to various farms and locations to conduct site visits and provide guidance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Soil Science or related field
- 3 years of experience as an Agronomist
- Fluency in Afrikaans and English
- Solid South African experience with crops
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
- Strong active listening and verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications
- Formal education in Agronomy, Soil Science or related field (Bachelor’s degree)
