About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Cost Estimator to join our team in Midrand. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for industrial electrical projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and analyse requests for proposal (RFPs) and requests for quotation (RFQs)
- Read and analyse technical requirements and drawings
- Manipulate calculations using Microsoft Excel
- Provide knowledge of general tender/contractual processes, requirements, and terminology
- Apply knowledge of financial concepts to cost estimates
Requirements
- National Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- 3-5 years of experience on industrial electrical projects
- Experience in the electrical engineering & Construction Industry
- Experience in reading and analysing RFPs and RFQs
- Experience in reading and analysing technical requirements and drawings
- Knowledge of general tender/contractual processes, requirements, and terminology
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications: National Diploma in Electrical Engineering
