Job Description

This role requires a proactive individual with strong industry knowledge, exceptional interpersonal abilities, and a proven history of achieving sales growth. The primary focus includes selling various products and services, translating complex technical information for clients, and demonstrating how equipment or solutions address specific customer challenges. The Sales Engineer will provide technical insight on deployment and implementation, ensuring the value proposition is clearly demonstrated. Work Activities and Responsibilities Identify and qualify potential leads through research, networking, and outreach. Develop targeted sales pitches and presentations to effectively communicate the companys value proposition. Promote and sell equipment, products, and solutions to new and existing clients using strong technical and commercial knowledge. Build and maintain strong customer relationships by understanding and anticipating client needs. Identify new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and review sales performance. Prepare, schedule, coordinate, assign, and monitor enquiries, quotations, orders, projects, and deliveries. Stay informed about the latest industry developments and communicate this knowledge internally. Represent and explain the technical aspects of products and solutions, demonstrating how they benefit customers. Maintain a deep technical understanding of the companys products and solutions, engaging regularly with maintenance engineers, production engineers, and plant managers. Collaborate with product partners design, production, engineering, and R&D teams to adapt products and services to customer needs. Expand sales territories within the assigned regions. Develop strategies to market products, increase sales conversions, and enhance customer experience. Track sales targets and actual performance to determine marketing support needs. Gather and store information on competitor products for market research. Identify new sales and marketing channels and technologies, and determine optimal methods to promote the business. Skills Requirements Sales Project Management Research and Analytical Skills Business Development Technical Knowledge Writing and Communication Public Speaking Problem-Solving Networking Organisational Skills Entry Requirements Degree or qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation disciplines Minimum 4 years of sales experience in a technical or engineering environment Experience selling electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation equipment to mines, municipalities, and construction companies Fluent in spoken and written English; French is an advantage Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, work independently and within a team, and perform under pressure Excellent computer skills
