About the Role
We are seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team in Mitchells Plain. As a key member of our care team, you will work closely with patients and their families to provide high-quality end-of-life care, including palliative care, dementia care, quadriplegic care, and tracheostomy care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide basic care and support to patients in their homes or facilities, including washing, dressing, grooming, feeding, moving, toileting, and administering medications under supervision.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and record progress in daily reports.
- Perform basic wound care and manage feeds of tracheostomy babies using a feeding pump.
- Observe changes in patients’ conditions and report any concerns to the registered nurse or family members.
- Assess sleep routines of patients and discuss with registered nurses to adjust care plans accordingly.
Requirements
- Good knowledge of dealing with emergency situations with a patient in their home.
- Knowledge of Geriatric Care, Paediatric Care, Dementia Care, Post Stroke Care, Ventilation Care.
- Good understanding of catheter care (indwelling, supra pubic, intermittent).
- Good knowledge of prevention of pressure sores in bedridden patients.
- Skilled in writing reports.

- Level and Accreditation Diploma as a qualified Enrolled Nurse
