About the Role

We are seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team in Mitchells Plain. As a key member of our care team, you will work closely with patients and their families to provide high-quality end-of-life care, including palliative care, dementia care, quadriplegic care, and tracheostomy care.

Key Responsibilities

Provide basic care and support to patients in their homes or facilities, including washing, dressing, grooming, feeding, moving, toileting, and administering medications under supervision.
Monitor patients’ vital signs and record progress in daily reports.
Perform basic wound care and manage feeds of tracheostomy babies using a feeding pump.
Observe changes in patients’ conditions and report any concerns to the registered nurse or family members.
Assess sleep routines of patients and discuss with registered nurses to adjust care plans accordingly.

Requirements

Good knowledge of dealing with emergency situations with a patient in their home.
Knowledge of Geriatric Care, Paediatric Care, Dementia Care, Post Stroke Care, Ventilation Care.
Good understanding of catheter care (indwelling, supra pubic, intermittent).
Good knowledge of prevention of pressure sores in bedridden patients.
Skilled in writing reports.

Level and Accreditation Diploma as a qualified Enrolled Nurse
