Job Description

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
 

  • A tertiary qualification in Fruit Technology, Microbiology, Quality Management, Business Administration, or currently pursuing studies in a related field is advantageous.
  • Internal Auditing qualification and experience will be an advantage.
  • Previous work experience in post-harvest fruit handling or fruit production environment will be an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential.

 COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  •  Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with team members across different levels.
  • High level of emotional maturity, with the ability to adapt and work effectively under pressure. Excellent problem solving, analytical, and numerical skills are critical for success in this role. Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to manage detailed information consistently. 
  • A strong team player who can also work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively. Ability to work with minimal supervision while tracking multiple processes

 RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  •  Familiarize yourself with current QC processes and product to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Analyse quality data derived from growers, packhouse operations, and market feedback, preparing comprehensive reports for management.
  • Provide training to employees on skills acquired during the program, contributing to team development
  • Lean and understand compliance systems, recommending updates based on operational and regulatory changes.
  • Assist in audit preparation, co-ordination, and the resolution of non-conformances for certification purposes.
  • Conduct internal audits to evaluate compliance and support continuous improvement efforts. Facilitate risk assessments and lead related meetings 
  • Administer the Health & Safety system, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
  • Lead data-driven ad hoc projects aimed at improving operations and quality.
  • Generate statistical reports and perform analyses to support data-driven decision making for senior management.
