About the Role
Our leading manufacturing client is seeking an experienced Material Planner to join their maintenance and engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and scheduling preventative, corrective, statutory and project-related maintenance activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule preventative, corrective, statutory and project-related maintenance activities
- Coordinate weekly maintenance plans, maintenance days and annual shutdowns
- Prepare detailed work orders, job plans and resource requirements
- Manage maintenance backlogs and track PM compliance
- Coordinate planning inputs across maintenance, production, engineering, SHEQ and contractors
- Monitor spares availability, resource requirements and shutdown readiness
- Maintain accurate CMMS records and maintenance history
- Compile planning, backlog, compliance and shutdown reports
Requirements
- National Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering, OR N6 with completed Trade Test
- 35 years’ experience in Maintenance Planning, Engineering Maintenance or Asset Management within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with CMMS systems, maintenance scheduling and shutdown planning
- Strong knowledge of preventative, corrective and statutory maintenance planning
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Outlook and planning tools)
