Centurion: Maintenance Technician

About the Role

As a Centurion: Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, lighting systems, control equipment, and mechanical systems as instructed. You will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to machinery and facilities in line with approved plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, lighting systems, control equipment, and mechanical systems as instructed
  • Carry out maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to machinery and facilities in line with approved plans
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment according to schedules
  • Inspect Electrical and mechanical components and report on compliance with relevant legislation and standards
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults and execute repairs to minimise downtime
  • Identify maintenance needs and obtain approval prior to executing repairs or upgrades
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns, callouts, and emergency maintenance situations
  • Report unsafe conditions, hazards, and equipment malfunctions immediately to management
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and upgrades completed
  • Ensure maintenance areas are clean, organised, and safe at all times
  • Monitor maintenance stock levels and report shortages
  • Assist with procurement and receiving of maintenance materials when required
  • Support training initiatives and assist with on-the-job training where necessary
  • Provide suggestions to improve equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency

Requirements

  • Qualified Electrical Trade certification
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a maintenance role
  • Strong electrical and mechanical experience, including installations
  • Ability to issue Certificates of Compliance (COCs) (not necessary but will be beneficial)
  • Experience in the plastic manufacturing industry is advantageous
