About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Sales Engineer with a strong background in the mining industry to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and promoting electrical products and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with mining houses, EPCM consultants, contractors, and end-users.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the mining sector.
- Promote and sell electrical products, systems, and engineering solutions.
- Conduct client visits, technical presentations, product demonstrations, and site meetings.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
- Review client specifications and recommend suitable technical solutions.
- Negotiate contracts and successfully close sales opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and performance objectives.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipelines, and CRM records.
Requirements
- National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 35 years’ experience in technical sales within the mining or industrial sector.
- Strong understanding of mining electrical systems and equipment.
- Proven ability to develop business and build long-term client relationships.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, tender documents, and engineering drawings.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
