About the Role
Wild Dreams Hospitality is seeking a dynamic couple to join our team as Lodge Anchor/Field Guide Couple based near Nelspruit. The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting daily operations and assuming full lodge management responsibilities when senior management is on leave. We are looking for applicants from the Mpumalanga region who possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with lodge administration and guest service, including reservations, office management, front-of-house operations, and coordinating staff duties.
- Support marketing initiatives and contribute to the growth of our operation.
- Deliver engaging nature-based guest experiences, including guided walks, nature drives, hiking, and MTB trail activities.
- Maintain guest activity equipment and trails, assist with general lodge maintenance, and support front-of-house operations when required.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a 4* or 5* lodge environment (for Lodge Anchor)
- Relevant tourism or hospitality qualification
- Strong Food & Beverage experience
- Computer literacy with booking system knowledge
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Hosting experience with exceptional attention to detail
- Basic marketing knowledge advantageous
- Must have own vehicle
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s licence and PDP (for Field Guide)
- Minimum 1 year guiding experience
- FGASA Level 1 (or equivalent Lowveld bush knowledge) for Field Guide
- Birding and tree identification knowledge advantageous for Field Guide
- Hosting and guest interaction experience
- General maintenance and practical skills
- Land management knowledge, including invasive plant control
- Valid First Aid certification
Salary & Benefits
Salary details will be discussed during the interview process. The successful candidates will receive accommodation and utilities (electricity, gas, water) included in their compensation package.
