About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Occupational Health Technician to support clients with health and occupational activities. This contract role is ideal for someone who can work independently, accurately report results, and be comfortable with various health screenings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting occupational health examinations, including:
- Audiometry
- Spirometry
- Vision testing
- Biological monitoring
- Basic vital signs and baseline lung function assessments
- Supporting medical supervision processes and administration
- Maintaining equipment, calibrating it, ensuring high hygiene standards, and performing regular checks
- Accurately recording and reporting data for occupational health practitioners
- Providing support with health improvement and wellness initiatives as needed
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation (e.g. Labour Act, COIDA, Mine Health and Safety)
Requirements
- Occupational Health Technician qualification or applicable certification
- Registration with the relevant professional body (where applicable)
- Valid audiometry and spirometry certificates
- Experience in occupational health or clinical settings
- Strong administrative and reporting skills
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
