About the Role
Our client, a well-established organisation operating within the materials handling and equipment industry, is currently looking to employ a Parts and Workshop Assistant based in Nelspruit. This role supports the effective operation of the parts department and workshop administration by assisting with various tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers at the parts counter in a professional and friendly manner
- Identify and supply correct parts based on customer or technician requirements
- Process parts sales and quotations
- Liaise with technicians to ensure correct parts are issued for jobs
- Maintain accurate bin locations and stock levels
- Ensure parts are correctly binned, labelled, and organized
- Assist with regular stock counts and stock reconciliation
- Monitor fast-moving parts and report shortages
- Re-ordering of stock based on minimum/maximum levels
- Follow up on outstanding orders with suppliers
- Prioritize and track urgent parts
Requirements
- Strong technical background (mechanical / forklift / automotive knowledge advantageous)
- Computer literate (Excel, email, stock systems)
- Previous experience in parts or workshop environment
- Knowledge of forklift or automotive parts
- Experience with stock control systems
- Matric Certificate – Minimum
